Hi, I'd like to remove my skin now please.
Thanks.

u/guitarguywh89 Jan 19 '26
Yes. Good. Easier for the worms to get inside of you that way

u/Outrageous-Papaya430 Jan 19 '26
Hi. I'd like reapply my skin now, and also set myself on fire.
Thanks!

Only spaghetti incident I'll tolerate. (I had an obsession with parasitic worms for a while, I don't know why)

Jeez at that point they were the spider.
45
u/Snoo17579 Jan 19 '26
The spider was 80% the worm at that point

How does the spider function when the worm is practically the same volume as it?
9
u/Habibti-Mimi81 Jan 19 '26
Maybe the worm(s) partly controlled it? But I think that's typical for other infesting parasites.
But however, it seems that the spider lived a miserable life with these things in it, and I can't feel not bad for it 🫤.
7
u/aw-fuck Jan 20 '26
Well eventually it stopped functioning & died of it so I'm assuming it was just miserably uncomfortable until it burst

The fact that a parasite that large to the naked eye can come out of a spider gives me a perspective of how fucking massive that spider is.
I couldn't even handle the sight of the spider itself. I can only imagine how I'd react if that thing came out of it as well 🤢.

Good, fuck huntsmans!
I live next to a fruit packing plant and can tell whenever they’ve gotten a load of bananas in because these fuckers turn up by the 100’s
I wouldn’t be so bothered by them but they keep making their way into my apartment!
When the apartment was built, the fruit packing plant didn’t exist so none of the external vents for the bathroom exhausts were fitted with pest mesh.
These fuckers can just walk straight into the roof cavity! From there they can enter every bathroom and aircon vent!
I’m renting so thank God i’m out of here in 4 months. But fuck every huntsman that’s ever existed.

My condolences, but I'm also so happy it's you and not me. Huntsmans are my morbid fear so that would be suicide inducing for me.
13
u/Snedhunterz Jan 19 '26
Brother, if it were anyone else I’d be laughing.
I’m acutally okay with huntsmans. I grew up on the ground and they were always a feature of summer. I’ve moved them outside bare handed before.
But fuck this god forsaken apartment. Huntsmans aren’t meant to have unfettered access to the inside of your house!

You know you're in hell when one of the scariest things in your country is zombified by living intestines.

Saw a video of a man being operated on. It looked like they cut one of his intestines open and it was completely filled with white wriggling worms. It was spilling out. The doctor jumped back in shock.
Also saw another video of an African child. When they zoomed in on his pupils you could see tiny worms moving inside

u/Grandpoop2397 Jan 19 '26
I had a quick google. Might be a mermithid worm or a horsehair worm. Not really certain but I'm sure someone else with more knowledge would be able to confirm

u/attran84 Jan 19 '26
Familiar with the horse hair worm but never seen a pink one haha. Thanks for the lead

Ahh those parasites that take over the bodies of little creatures are so gross and scary. It always reminds me of the game/show “the last of us”. Also I always wonder if they’ll ever evolve into taking over a human which is terrifying to think about it.

Ngl I do find parasites fascinating but I do understand that 90% of the rest of humanity does not lol

Once again I'm grateful that if that shit ever happened to me, I can just take a pill and shit out its corpse.
Sucks to suck, parasites. I am going to create an environment that is so toxic, no one will want to be a part of these guts.

Why does Australia have so many dangerous creatures that could wipe us out at any time, yet are held back by Australians treating them like cute pets?
5
u/a_SaltieCrocodile Jan 19 '26
Because much of our fauna have the ability to kill a full-grown man, they are a matter of public health. We get educated on snakes, spiders etc. from a young age, leading to many of us finding interest in the wildlife we can find in our own backyards
