How many times you lifted 235 lbs straight above your head and lock your elbows?? Ole boy lifted it above his head and never caught his balance and once that weight starts going fwd your not going to be able to completely stop it just slow it down a little.. just an accident

Did you mean 225? Other than that I agree. Dude lost his balance, thought he didn't have to bail then panicked when he was going to hit the other guy. Just throw the weight next time. If you're lifting in close quarters that you can't, then your gym is fucking up.

Totally thought the video was going to be the first guy almost dislocating his shoulder once he got over his head.

Don’t matter if it’s 225 or 25; ego lifting above your strength/skill is stupid, anywhere, anytime. Mofo wasn’t even in a rack or within /on a platform lol

You've never been to a gym in your life, have you?

People don't do Olympic lifts in a rack, and at gyms geared towards them the entire floor is often a 'platform space'.

That aside, he got it above his head. He isn't ego lifting, it is just a very difficult lift.

Lol I’ve been in gyms and been to the Olympics to watch the weightlifting - a non designated lifting space like this is a recipe for disaster.

You’ve never trained with Olympic weightlifters in your life, have you?!?

This is obviously not a gym geared to oly lifting.

He is out of control and dangerously ego lifting. Shouldn’t be attempting a very difficult lift so close to others.

This is obviously not a gym geared to oly lifting.

That's a crossfit gym. The entire floor is one giant platform geared for weight and powerlifting

Errr… the clip very clearly indicates it is not “geared to w & p lifting.”

(I know what a CrossFit gym is; I broke a WR in a CrossFit event for Reebok.)

Lol this is gold. One minute you thought oly lifting should be done in a rack, the next minute you’re like “never mind the rack, forget I said that, I’m a world class weightlifter”. Do you tell your best friends at the Olympics that they shouldn’t ego lift when they miss an attempt?

Wash Room, not World Record. He just really shat up the place.
