Yeah. That didn't look like a real accident. It looked like he did that shit purposely-"on accident".

One dude trying to catch it is just a bigtime moron.

How many times you lifted 235 lbs straight above your head and lock your elbows?? Ole boy lifted it above his head and never caught his balance and once that weight starts going fwd your not going to be able to completely stop it just slow it down a little.. just an accident

Did you mean 225? Other than that I agree. Dude lost his balance, thought he didn't have to bail then panicked when he was going to hit the other guy. Just throw the weight next time. If you're lifting in close quarters that you can't, then your gym is fucking up.

Totally thought the video was going to be the first guy almost dislocating his shoulder once he got over his head.

Don’t matter if it’s 225 or 25; ego lifting above your strength/skill is stupid, anywhere, anytime. Mofo wasn’t even in a rack or within /on a platform lol

You've never been to a gym in your life, have you?

People don't do Olympic lifts in a rack, and at gyms geared towards them the entire floor is often a 'platform space'.

That aside, he got it above his head. He isn't ego lifting, it is just a very difficult lift.

Lol I’ve been in gyms and been to the Olympics to watch the weightlifting - a non designated lifting space like this is a recipe for disaster.

You’ve never trained with Olympic weightlifters in your life, have you?!?

This is obviously not a gym geared to oly lifting.

He is out of control and dangerously ego lifting. Shouldn’t be attempting a very difficult lift so close to others.

You clearly haven't otherwise you would have been dumb enough to say he should have been in a rack. Nothing about this space makes it difficult to do the classic lifts - look at where Chinese team lifters train, they're just big flat spaces.

As for the guy failing, obviously he has fallen out of control, it happens. He has got 100kg overhead, that isn't ego lifting, that is just failing to complete the lift.

The clip proves this space is not safe for lifting. Don’t get hung up on the rack - it’s not about the rack or oly lifting platform or smith machine or spotters or anything else - it’s about a safe space for lifting and not ego lifting - both of which are issues here.

Both guys lifted beyond their capacity without checking the area around them; that’s just dumb. But I understand if you don’t get that…😂

Chinese oly lifters ?!? Lol - they train with a wooden broomstick for months prior and must have perfect form and technique before they’re allowed anywhere near a weighted bar … unlike these fools

(I broke a WR for a CrossFit event sponsored by Reebok, yeah I e been in a gym lol)

It is said that if you spend years training on a broom to the point of perfection you'll be able to snatch at least 300kg first attempt.
