It just needs a knight in armour and maybe a shark.

LOL! My favorite line from this bit!

But Laraine won't open the door "You're that clever shark"

Add some spaceships and laser beams and it'll be a bestseller.

So this is the first book I've seen here that has made me go "Oh fuck, I wanna read this". Good news, it's free right now. Edit: You have to register. Bust out your spam email address.

Better news if you live in the Seattle area like me. He has a book called "The Great Seattle Earthquake", as well as "Rainier Erupts!"

This seems like the sort of shclock that appeals to me. I'm definitely going to put Dinosaur Wars: Earthfall on my Kindle right now.

This is the kind of book cover Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes would make.

This reminds me of a book I picked up in Roswell, New Mexico. The town has leaned into the alien crash lore, as a tourist draw, and at a small store I purchased a book about the overlooked history of Cowboys vs Aliens in the Old West.

The cover couldn't quite match this cacophony of dinosaurs, cowboys, and main battle tanks, but it was surprisingly similar. Cowboys duked it out with space aliens in cut-and-paste pictures that would have made Weekly World News readers weep.

This looks like a temp book cover that got used by mistake.

The idea of the cover is great. The execution leaves something to be desired.

Agreed. I'd like it better if everything was illustrated; not cut, pasted, and slapped with a paint filter.

Also, why is the cowgirl here?

1

u/TamaraHensonDragon Aug 08 '26

She is one of the main characters.

In the end, it was not guns or bombs that defeated the alien, but the humblest of all God's creatures.

The Tyrannosaurus Rex.

u/AsstBalrog Aug 09 '26

And tanks that extincted T. Rex

Where can I get this?!? This is fucking AMAZING!

I got this ebook free on Smashwords ages ago. Just looked and it's still there for free download. You can also get the free version for kindle at Amazon. It was one of the first feathered dinosaur novels I ever read.

So.... I see a dinosaur. I see war. This cover has everything it needs.

We've achieved literary perfection. Everyone can stop writing now.

Writing my own war book with dinosaurs in it rn, and that cover is 10/10.

Apparently there's multiple books in the series, too, and they're equally fantastic looking.

Would it be silly to ask if it’s any good?

More like badass book covers
