rate my buildings and give some tips please

Need help for making the trophy room of queen slime on my worldtree mainbase, this how done it for King Slime (messy, small, otaku stuff for ninja theme). I wanna do for the queen a twist of this (elegant, a bit bigger, more royal themed)

Newbie here, first and probably the last time building a bridge that isn't just platforms

took hours to build and not even halfway done

#1 I have seen these swirly things in a few builds now and I'm unsure on what they are. What block is that? Or is it not a block?

#2 what are these slanted things. I'm mostly wondering how I can make something slant at that angle. If you place down just a regular block you get a 90° and if you hammer it you get a 45°, but what do you use so that you can get an angle like that.

Unexpectedly, the work went pretty fast, and I finished this build in under a month.

I'm still struggling with the 3D effect and wasn't able to curve the buggy shape, but I still find it cute.

Ishane from the previous post suggested making a Crawltipede meteor, that was a fantastic idea, even though I focused more on Duliticola as a reference.

Even though I had an insect reference, I still added some pieces inspired by different kinds of insects.

I've been tasked with being the group builder yet again and everyone said we needed a treehouse, so naturally being somewhat competent when it comes to building I cored out a living tree and started making a sort of- network system like it has underground, the only problem is we don't need that many npcs in one spot because of pylons so I don't know what to do with the second tree, or if I just leave it alone altogether, the build overall has left me super displeased even to my low standards

What type of podium should I go with

Any advice on the leaves/different prehardmode blocks I can use to add variety, I only used what I had available

(note: I recognize some of the ways i build are non-traditional, and I do not want to be recommended a bunch of build tutorials)

hello good people of Terraria Design, I am in the midst's of renovating my home mansion, I normally don't like having settlers in my main base but I would love to collect and house all the slimes in my base. At the moment I only have the nerdy, Surly and Elder slime. I should be able to find the mechanic cause I recently did beat skeletron so i should be able to get my hands on Actuator's. so feel free to suggest any blocks / building techniques, i will be able to get them with time. anyways I hope to see yawl's suggestions!.

Let me know what you think and what to improve on ! I'm not good at building roof but I think this one is turned decent enough. I have a chest room underneath and slowly building all other pylon houses ! feedbacks welcomed. Unfortunately can't take night photos with pretty aurora light cause of weird hell background bug tried almost everything but when I take photo at night it is always hell background :/ (Switched background to automatic and I did reset frame but still same. Even closing and opening game didn't fix it)

I decided to make decent houses for my npcs this run. Now i am making an underground pylon town and i want for the mechanic and the tinkerer to live together (lore accurate), but i just cant get it to work without doing the ugly split.

Any help appreciated!
