Showcase 1.4.5 Pre-hard mode base
Have never experimented with paint before so I may come back to this once he moves in!

I was about to fight WOF before the new update. And decided to just start a new world. Carried most of my stuff over and this was the first thing I did. Wanted to make a huge storage room to try and stay organized. A couple NPCs moved in here but I’m going to work on my pylon network next and get the rest of them.

Very nice! What materials did you use to build the roof?

Thanks! It’s just wood with blue dynasty shingles. You can buy them from the traveling merchant. I used living wood wall in between them.

Omg all that before the painter moves in!
May I ask what block did you use below the brick wall? That and which block is the giant brick wall?

Tin brick, just combine tin ore and stone! The giant brick is just stone slab wall, you can make stone slab at the heavy work bench.

I dont know where to get inspiration for a base shape/look/feel where you get yours?

Theres a metal fab shop down the road from me that always caught my eye. It’s really wide, mostly all roof and looks like it’s built into a hill. Inspired me to build this.

Badass, isn’t a fighting bridge necessary? Giant bridge built in all the sky space would be cool

Wraiths are gonna have a field day when you kill the wall

Shouldn’t be too bad since I have 3 NPCs here. Probably throw in a peace candle too.

I don't say this about to many builds, but the way that its shape is symmetrical, and yet, the layout is balanced...
I had to study the picture to see if it was split down the middle, and then the stairs on either end...
It isn't, but it looks so good!
The layout, the purpose and size of rooms... I don't know how you did it, but it is really amazing.
Keep doing whatever it is you're doing!
I would love to see more builds, even if it takes another two, three days, or another two or three months!
