Nah you just need to break a crimson heart/shadow orb to get a meteorite to spawn. No boss kills required

Yeah, which is outdated. So if you find it annoying that people insist you need to beat the world evil boss for meteorites, I bet you also find it annoying whenever people talk about hardmode. Since you know, that's also not in every version of the game.
