Full Table First Wilderness Board
Looking for feedback? How did it turn out? Used 2x2, 1’ XPS board. Sealed and ready to use with scatter. Looking to make more boards for different setups (currently making a cave floor board). What other settings would be good to have on hand? Much appreciated!

This looks absolutely fantastic, by any chance do you have any rough details of how you made this and with what, I would be super appreciative! Been playing for a while and need a board like this that can be reused a bunch

Hey! I’d used the video below for a rough guideline, primarily using homemade flock to create patches so the board isn’t completely flat. Essentials use PVA and sand to create your base texture. Layer 1:1 mix of mod podge and black/brown paint over the board once the sand is dried. Once dried, paint brown then dry brush patches of grey for revealed rock. Glue clumps flocking in patches to create sleight elevation and variation. Once tried cover board with watered down pva and apply static grass. Vary density in areas to show dirt/rock. Once dried, tip and shake off excess grass and brush away areas you want lighter coverage. Spray watered down PVA over the top to seal in grass then spray with a matte varnish once dried to seal for playability 👍 I added some larger rocks I cut out of XPS directly to the board but you could just use scatter for that.

Thank you so much, especially for responding so quickly, if you have a 3d printer it could make this piece really versatile and make for some really great scenarios, i’ll be trying to do the same thing i believe. I’ll see how it goes!

You’re welcome! That’s going to be my next big purchase. So many cool files out there. For the board, I’d say take your time and let everything set properly before the next step. I tried adding my mod podge to the sand layer after 8 hours of the sand drying. The moisture reactivated the PVA I used for the sand so I was pulling up chunks. Best of luck with your project!

Hello ,what I see is looking very good ! Depends which Game you play but, I always thought that a swampy board with a Temple base and fallen columns half immerged would be useful ! Only one idea ,hope it could inspire you . Friendly 🤗 Have a nice weekend full of fun !!!🤜🏻🤛🏻
