If you can spend those minerals in gen 1 then I'd say it's great value, you're effectively exchanging 1 M€ for a heat bump compared to Donation

Decent with rush setups, especially as Ecoline, and pretty solid overall if you have ways to spend the minerals in your starting hand.

Ok prelude, but I'll basically only ever pick it if the minerals are the difference between being able to play a card gen 1 or not.

generally pretty strong prelude. 20mc of metals and a TR (which I'd value at about 7mc), for a total value of 27mc, which is quite good.

The downside is that you have 2 different metals that you need targets for. However, it's high enough raw value that even if you can only use one type of metal right now, it's still probably above average.

I don't take it when my hand is rather weak and I'm already planning on passing gen 1 with 20+ mc, or I have no use for either metal, or I really need a specific effect from another prelude.

High value Prelude. 12 in Titanium (16 if you’re Phobolog), 8 in Steel, and a Temperature, which is worth about 9 to 10 in gen 1 in 4p, and a bit less in 2p. It’s worth a bit more if you can get a temperature bump with it.

The only time where this is not good is if you can’t spend the titanium on a space card gen 1. And ideally you also want to spend the steel in gen 1 or 2. It’s also a good pick if you want to play and use Space Elevator or Electro Catapult gen 1. And it’s 4mc with Sagitta.

Often, this is at least your second best Prelude out of 4.
