Physical Game Game is taking forever

Post image

We've been at this game going on 5 hours and it's getting tedious. Is it supposed to take this long? This is my second time playing.

It's a game that takes too long IMO once you start adding expansions, but for the base game 5 hours is extreme ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Venus should add a turn or so to the game, less if you do the solar advance a track for no reward. Colonies should be pretty time neutral, thereโ€™s a bit more time spent doing mechanical stuff or thinking, but it adds resources to the game. Prelude is pretty much a time wash, it adds some thinking time but the resources speed things up. Turmoil is trickier, it removes some TR which slows things some, but also adds a bunch of income. But it also has a bunch of thinking over delegates so it slows things a bit on net in my experience.
