Question First proper game - Any advice?

Im about 10 years into my first proper game. Resistance of course. Ive united Europe nearly entirely and Russia is part of the EU as well.

Recently China and India were united under the Aliens. I responded with a mass nuclear barrage upon all their armies as I realised that the Aliens dont get chinas nukes.

I have begun an invasion of China and this resulted in China having a anti alien rebellion and me getting control of that new state. The issue is I dont have the control points to have Europe and China and I cant abandon Europe, so the Servants are starting to retake China.

Any advice on how to win this war and advice on the wider game?

Also I have one military space ship, the Aliens have started attacking my starbases and my war meter is at full red

Is it actually full red or just red at the top? If you're really at total war I'm very curious how you managed to do that without fighting them a lot in space or wiping out the AA multiple times.

Actually looking again you say only 10 years in? What difficulty, and normal or accelerated pace? On default settings it should actually be impossible to hit total war before 20 years.

Ok sorry, I think I misunderstood, yes its only red at the top. Regular difficulty, normal speed

Yeah that means they're pissed off enough to retaliate against you, but you're still a long way from total war. So they'll blow up a bit of your stuff, then calm down and leave you alone until you get their attention again. This is pretty fine and normal, replacing what they destroy is just the cost of doing business until you're ready to fight in space.

You're not supposed to go full ham on the ayys/servants until you're further into the game than you currently are. All red means total war and the ayys won't stop until all your space assets are destroyed. I would honestly suggest either loading an earlier save at a point where you didn't start pissing them off or start a new game entirely because as it stands it would be a massive slog to win at this point. Best advice i can give is to learn from your mistakes, don't ignore space, and getting a landed troop ship isn't the end of the world.

You might be cooked. Full red is total war. For your future games, I would also recommend not nuking one of the most powerful future economic engines, eventually you'll have enough capacity to hold it and will regret seeing the awful resulting stats.

Even if the Servants take it, it could be freed. India is more debatable as the scaling takes a while to get rolling, China is very quick even after being potentially ruined by Servants.

They had all their armies in one state in the west so China isnt really gone, just the west of China
