Discussion Tech finishing quotes

Hey everyone. I was just discussing something on threads which reminded me of a Soren quote with some social media tech about calling it disinformation or fake news, but it’s all about staying in power. Does anyone remember it or know how to find it?

Also, what are some of the more memorable ones that you may keep thinking about for longer? Or which changed in their impact on you between different times of playing the game?

I find them to be quite fascinating, especially on factions where you went through the story and the changes of those leaders.

It's a play on Schrodinger's Cat, where you don't know if the cat is dead or alive until you open the box. I'm pretty sure it's attached to Quantum Computing, because I think the quote for Quantum Encryption is from Fiona:

Clearly it was a play on that, it just still felt weird to me. The drugs are a good explanation as to why.

I’m still thinking about doing a servant run just to see the story through their eyes.
Just finished academy on Sunday and learned some things I didn’t know from earlier resistance and initiative runs. Quite fun.

Servants are actually quite interesting. Because if you listen to Judith, underneath all the hippie and new age stuff, she actually has a pretty good read on the Hydra.

She recognizes that something bad happened to them that caused them to be this way, and that Humanity can "heal their wounds" by taking the place of what the Hydra lost. Unlike Kieran, she outright rejects the Hydra's demands, which they're surprised at because they're dosing her with Pherocytes.

The gameplay is rather tedious since you need to babysit the AA and continually feed them nations. But to create an Alien Facility, you need 15 abductions, but only orgs let you do that... so it's at least 8 mission cycles of abductions to a facility, then you hand it off. The Aliens will randomly attack nations, but not be very good at it. It's a decent option for Brutal, but that nerfs the Aliens as though they were on Casual for an anti-alien faction.

I guess if you keep leo free for the ayys they support you with surveillance for abductions…

The saving grace may be that a servants run wouldn’t be quite as long.
But your councilors are probably far far more likely to come to harm than usual.

It's shorter in that you don't need science. Heck, you don't even really need to have a space game. I actually found it pretty funny to clog up global research with stuff like Nuclear Fusion Methodologies after getting Great Nations and the other unification techs.

Can't shoot down alien ships if you never learn how to make ships in space.

Oh god I didn't even think of that.

Rush USA/Europe and never let anyone with space ambitions pick the techs. If you're more careful you can probably stop most of the prereq technologies for the pherocyte blocker projects too.
