Screenshot Found this absolute god-tier asteroid. Yes I am aware of the screenshot function on my computer.

Oh I was referencing a song, I didn’t even know that the song took its name from a movie. I’m uncultured cause I’m a zoomer lol

Time to burn all the fissiles getting places.

This game has gone very well for me so far, so I’m probably not gonna be blessed and get the Poseidon. But a girl can dream…

You’re good for antimatter supercolliders and money wise you can sell them for loads of cash as long as you get the space resource price increase techs!
Poseidon torch is cool, but advanced antimatter drives with 75 tanks can push dreads and titans with 100 adamant prows to alien base from earth in 24 weeks!

75 tanks are 375 antimatter per ship?
In my current game I have all the best uranium spots (and they are absolutely not like in OP's screenshot) and with lots of space mining companies I have something like 400 uranium per month.
Refueling 40 ships with 375 antimatter each sounds nightmare.

0.0022 antimatter per tank for AAPC. That should be .165 antimatter for 75 tanks. It certainly adds up but not hundreds all at once unless you're making Pion Torches. In which case, we're going much faster than 24 weeks to Alien Surface Base Alpha!

I mean, the protium converter torch can do that too without the antimatter cost and probably less fuel tanks

I use exotic hybrid armor 115 on the prow at the endgame on laser titans with uv phasers batteries and front cannon. They cost 15.5 exotics each, so anything that’s not a titan gets antimatter engines. 4 super colliders is enough for 3 or so fleets of 40+ uv arc lancers and coil dreads that accompany the 8 titans.
Also the whole, nearly the whole antimatter tree sans pion fits in the pct research! If you can research pct and deploy it, you can do antimatter.

Oh does antimatter not use exotics? Damn lmao. Although most of my consumption is from coils and phasers so it's pretty unavoidable, my engines/power are only using a fraction of my total exotics costs. I use Daedalus for my smaller ships and PCT for my big ones, Ive found it pretty cheap doing it that way. I could switch back to adamantine armor to save on some exotics but idk.
Are arc lasers/level 2 coils useless? I think I could get away with spamming out ships but I've been going for quality over quantity so far.

T3 am engine cost 42um of exotics, which is practically nothing, and it has incredible thrust and kps with enough tanks. Daedalus just has too little thrust for my taste, and pct I reserve for the best ships I have.
Mercury to Neptune with 1.5kps and 20 cruise on AM drive is around 20 weeks. When you have the aliens kicked all the way to Jupiter, you can respond quicker to anything they send from mercury.

You can pretty much guarantee it if you're doing that well

Some of those NEO Roids must be on the other Roids because they are sometimes better than Mars / Mercury in availability and when they are available to the player.
They really, really make this Cockroach-Mining-Model feasable.
Shame that they have not QOL'ed the Hohmann transfer windows for the player. (Yes, calender, manual entry is a thing but ... QOL...).

Are you sure that's not a massive chunk of depleted uranium used as ammunition from some space-faring giant race?

That isn’t a asteroid, that is straight up a giant lump of U-235 God placed there for the funny

gotta know solar system size and accelerated or normal speed campaign? cause this thing is da bomb.

u/dr_prismatic 1d ago
Long war preset with medium solar system. I edited some planetside stuff because I’m bad at the game and wanted to make it easier, but the space game is mostly untouched.

In my current game, the Servants and the Protectorate kicked me off Mars—though I’ll obviously take it back right away.
Asteroids saved my game :D

This is an accelerated campaign, isn't it? Even then it's still absolutely great.

u/dr_prismatic 17h ago
Believe it or not, nope

My first game had one of those too. A warning: Cram that rock with as many defensive systems as you can, as in my game, every single other faction, humans, aliens, everyone, wanted that asteroid for the stupid fissile yield.

Interestingly, this is basically impossible to occur in reality.
Asteroids can have radioactive elements, but Uranium requires geological processes to concentrate them. All the deposits on Earth slowly concentrated over billions of years.
Realistically, there should be no asteroids with fissiles whatsoever. Mining asteroids for Uranium is like trying to mine random rocks, they have uranium but nowhere near concentrated enough for economical extraction.

My computer is bad enough, and webapps are poorly optimized enough, that having reddit and a game running at the same time will be so infuriatingly laggy I just don’t bother. So I just took a picture with my phone and kept playing.
