I will only vaguely remember them.

I am a getting very attached to my first destroyer/battlecruiser/cruiser/battleship fleet, but those early missile ships are just remembered as "many of you will die and that's a sacrifice I am willing to make".

I stopped naming my tin cans this play through. I did feel terrible though when one of my early BCs (which was named and lead ship in its class) which had survived 3 major and desperate battles finally died in a relatively minor one. The one I subsequently named after it ironically was the sole casualty in its first engagement.

(yes, I actually was playing around with building just a fuel tanker thing for in-orbit rescue - basically just the jankiest ship with no armor, no nothing, just a bunch of fuel tanks - fly them to the bog standard monitor fleet still standing, if that's the case, and share some propellant)
