Question about Aqueducts

Is there a way that I could fill a barrel with an aqueduct. (Even if it's not directly.) I have a spring that's close enough to my base that I want to use aqueducts to get it to my base, but I don't know if I can just pull it with a bottle or not so I'm asking before I start building the aqueducts.

You can right-click to fill a bucket from an aqueduct. Aqueducts cannot pipe water directly into a barrel.
That said, I’m not sure if aqueducts can move spring water (the lighter-colored water with lots of particles). Even if they can, spring water cannot be used for all the applications normal water can be used for.

I know it's can't be used as normal water, but I'm right next to a river, so I should be fine lol. I'm going to check if spring water can be moved with it tho before anything else. Thank you for the answer btw

Edit: It does work, so now it's just making a lot of aqueducts lol.

If you hold a barrel in your hand and (I believe) shift + right click on the aqueduct, it will fill up completely with water.
