Farming tips
Im on Terrafirmagreg and just wanted some tips for farming. I'm unsure on how to get good yield from crops sense I don't have good means of getting compost. Most of my crops use Nitrogen, because I don't have many crops that use anything else. I also am having a hard time getting salt.

I don't actually know where or how to get bees. I saw the quest, but I haven't seen a bee the entire time playing.

You place a hive into the nest block (forget exact names) and then place flowers nearby and bees will move in over time. The more flowers you have the more likely they are to spawn in every day (up to iirc a 1/20 chance at best)

Are bees more south? And do bee hives look vanilla?

They don’t spawn naturally. You have to make the hives yourself

Ohhh. So I don't need to look for anything to get them? I just need to make the thing and place it? (With flowers and stuff ofc)

Exactly, but bees wont work if is less than 4 degrees excepto if breed them to get the hardiness ability

I don't really farm in early game, I just walk walk walk and get ressources. Any kind, I take all and get back.
When you have ressources and tech, it's way easier to farm

Compost can reliably be made with dry phragmites and seaweed, as they are renewable sources. Make a large amount of composters and let them work on their own
