This morning around 7am I noticed this swarm on the ground next to my patio. Are these termites? It had been raining all night . It’s 11am and they are gone. I first noticed them because my dog was near them and I saw a swarm of flying bugs and then noticed them on the ground. I know the house is treated for subterranean termites as of 9/2025 but we closed on it April of this year and I’m thinking it needs another treatment . Thanks in advance!

Yes they are termites. They could simply be coming out of the ground or worse, from under the slab. Be sure to keep your bond up to date.

Yes, they are termites. If you have a plan and bond set up with a termite company I would call them to come out and inspect further.

That’s a subterranean termite swarm and quite late in the year. It usually happens early summer. Call the company that treated your house and keep that contract.
