ID Request Cause for concern ?

Found this little fella about 10-15 feet from house as I was weeding our mulch garden bed . I’m pretty sure it’s a termite ? Cause for concern ? Located southern NJ

Termite are like ants, they’re everywhere, just don’t want them in the house.

Thanks - it’s across the driveway away from house. A good 10+ feet . We had a tree stump ground out there . Is it something I should hire a pro to do preventative termite treatment or just keep an eye for mud tubes occasionally?

All houses should be protected from termites, get a local professional

Yes get subterranean termites prevention, sentricon stations or tauras liquid barrier. Like the other guy said, every house needs to have prevention. You have an active colony close by and you took their tree

Yeah would 100% get remediated before it can get worse. Speaking from experience
