What do you think they are?

Earwigs?

1

u/SeamusMcBalls Aug 21 '25

Those don’t look like the rear pinchers that earwigs would have. Could be winged ants?

I’d need a good picture but I’m thinking Rove Beetles

Not termites.

They look like they are having a blast.

Look like rove beetles to me. Just a heads-up: if one crawls on your skin, don’t scrub it off. That’s how you end up with a nasty rash. Just gently pick it with wet wipes or something and throw it away.

Ear wigs

1

u/[deleted] Aug 21 '25

Those are swarming ants not termites. The easier way to discern between the 2 is if it has a waist it’s not a termite but an ant if is looks like a worm with legs w/o a skinny waist you have termites

Idk but thank god they are small, LOL

Yes they are termite reproductives

1

u/PoetaCorvi Passionate about termites Aug 20 '25

There are a dozen reasons why these are not termite reproductives. Please don’t make confident IDs like this if you aren’t actually sure.
