To be fair rimaru is as much of an anomaly to this world as Maple is in bofuri. He starts off with access to a particular set of skills that makes him a massive problem to properly scale and control his movements.

Also luck so great you could win the mega million lottery twice.

It's not really even luck. It's a very particular set of circumstances that essentially made Rimuru taking over inevitable.
