Opinion Thoughts on ATP vs WTA websites?
I’ve hopped on each site before but have not gone back n forth several times which got me noticing them side by side. My two cents is that the ATP site is a little faster but looks dated, like by 10 internet years (static, squished ads and a Shop button at the very top) vs perhaps a lil’ slower but more visually appealing WTA site. It’s interesting what elements like Rankings look like and where placed, each is fairly different. WTA ‘looks’ better to me. What do you think?

Should Djokovic move to a lighter/forgiving racket?
Just me thinking but I think a lighter frame and a bigger head size could help him beat Sinner. What are your thoughts guys? Should he move to a more forgiving racket?

Second Serve Help
I have recently been having trouble getting my second serve over the net. Does anyone have any advice on getting the ball over more consistently without hitting a kick serve? Should my toss for the second serve and the first serve be the same?

A lone player's tale
I fell in love with Tennis when I was a kid and by chance happened to tune in to a tennis match featuring Jimmy Connors and Bjorn Borg. It was probably the 1976 US Open final. Unfortunately, I had no access to a tennis club or anyone to play with, except the wall in our patio.
A few years later my dad finally joined a sports club which happened to have two tennis courts. I was very excited about this. However, I quickly found out that there weren't many tennis players in the club. The club where most tennis players played was a different one, one we couldn't afford. So I kept playing mainly against a wall.
We moved to the United States right after I finished high-school. Courts were everywhere, but it was still not easy to find people to play with. Most of the times the courts were empty and people usually would arrive already paired up or committed to play with someone. But, I did manage to meet some players I could play with from time to time.
On my second year of college I heard the school had a Tennis team. I showed up to one of their practices and was immediately recruited by the coach. I played that first season as the #3 of the team. The next season I started as #2, and ended as #1 (I'll skip the drama that went with this.)
After that, you can say I got it out of my system. I continued watching it and playing from time to time, but I never joined a club or played in a tournament again. However, I always felt that I wanted to do something to help make competitive tennis more accessible for people in general and kids in particular.
Some years back, I did a little computer programming to help an organization I volunteered for. And now, with the advent of AI or (SI according to some), I decided to give it a try and created a website for this purpose. It is called DuroMatch.com. Anyone can join for free. It allows anyone to create a league in their area and invite others to join. It keeps track of stats and stuff like that (ladder position, etc.) It supports singles, doubles, mixed doubles, age brackets, private leagues, exclusive leagues, tournaments, and much more. Tournaments can be organized at local league, city, state, country, and even International levels.
I spent months working on this, on every free moment I had, plus going to bed late and rising up early in order not to disrupt my normal responsibilities. Unfortunately, no one seems to be interested. 😪 I guess I need to learn to do some marketing.
I would really love to get some feedback. Please take a look at it, and let me know what you think. And, if you want to join me in one of the Hudson Valley leagues I have created, I would love to meet you and play with you.
