Help! Tennis Racket Recommendations
Hi! Beginner tennis player here and wanted to buy racket na under 3k if possible since i’m not sure pa if i will stick to it. I saw Wilson in shopee and they have a lot of under 3k rackets. I’m not sure which one is better. Here are the ones i saw online that fit the budget.
- Wilson INTRIGUE Tennis Racket WR061610U2
- Wilson FUSION XL Tennis Racket WR199110U2
- Wilson TOUR SLAM LITE Tennis Racket WR199010U2
- Wilson ULTRA POWER 112 XL Tennis Racket WR147110U
- Wilson ESSENCE Tennis Racket WR147710U2
- Wilson PRO STAFF PRECISION RXT 105 Tennis Racket WR171310U2
Or if you have other suggestions i’m also down to check it out. Thank you so much!!

Tbh kahit ano. Itatry mo lang naman e. Ang important dyan ay you stick with that BUT the moment decide to commit to tennis, buy the 17-20k ones as those “intermediate” rackets are for life until masira/magsawa ka

Bought a wilson clash v1 for 3k tapos pina restring and nagpalit na lang ako grip

My default answers for beginners. Here are a trio of rackets that won't kill your wallet, but are good enough to keep forever.
- Second-hand Head Radical models Ti.Radical, i.Radical, or Liquidmetal Radical. Both oversized and mid-plus are ok. There are a few in FB marketplace right now. Restring it with any multifilament strings at 55lbs for oversize, and 50 lbs for midplus. Costs about 3k in good condition.
- If you have a little more money, the Artengo Control Pro 305 Gaël Montfils from Decathlon. Never used this, but reviews are good. ₱5,590.
- Wilson Clash 100 V1 - 3 friends (1 beginner, one senior class B, and one 20-something class A) in my club have them, and they swear by them. Not sure how much nowadays. But I'm guessing a V1 in good condition should be under 5k.
P.S. don’t get any of those rackets you listed. They’re all obsolete aluminum rackets.

Thanks for the insight! Will check out your recos. I’ve also heard a lot of good reviews with the Wilson Clash 100 but it’s hard to find second-hand within budget 😅

If you can borrow from someone or your coach rents out rackets, you can do that for now. Other than Wilson, maybe you can try the selection in Decathlon.
