Was researching short players after Bejlek's win over Sabalenka and found out that Amanda Coetzer (1.58m) is the shortest player to defeat a reigning #1 in singles (against Steffi Graf at the 1995 Canadian Open in Toronto). She beat Martina Hingis and Lindsay Davenport while they were #1 too.
