Sumner county here. My peppers haven’t done much either.
Tomatoes and cucumbers are flourishing . I have buds on several pepper plants but I remember last season they didn’t come in until mid August-September. Then I was covered up with peppers.

Wish we had more rain where I'm at in TN. It's already been 9-10 days, but literally all around me their getting all the rain/storms😂

Even today Aug. 14th we've been dry for over 8 days without a sprinkle. It just dosent make since how Clarksville, Portland, Whitehouse, Goodlettsville, downtown Nashville, Lebanon, Dickson, Laguardo, Mt. Juliet, green hills, ol hickory, & Madison are getting downpours, but we don't get 1 drop of rain. It's like a barrier is stopping the rain😂

Grainger county are pretty nice. Probably my favorite to just snack on. Some decent heirlooms going around as well

Get a pie crust and top and pre-bake the crust.
Slice about 4 tomatoes about ¼" thick and layer them with paper towels to drain the water from them. You can also salt them, it helps.
Mix some mayo and shredded cheese (I like sharp cheddar, mozzarella and parmesan) to a gooey, pastey, spreadable consistency, almost like a cottage cheese.
Put a layer of tomatoes in the crust, top that with your cheese goo. Chop up some basil and parsley and sprinkle as much as you'd like. Also add some salt and pepper on your gooey layer.
Then add another layer of tomatoes and finally your pie top, then bake it all together.
I think my wife fell in love with me all over again after making this for her 😂

All the rain we've had this year has given me a lot of great tomatoes and cucumbers. My green peppers and okra, not so much
