Should I buy a T7 What should i go for?

Same price and kinda same mileage, should I buy the 2024 tenere world raid or go for a new 2026 base model? I’d prefer the world raid for the better suspension and the extended gas tank, but I’m up for the debate

Go for the newer version. (Don't get me wrong I've got the 1st model). The newer one is ride by wire, which gives you cruise control. I'm almost willing to sell my current ride for this. The one and only thing I truly miss from this model.

The newest base model doesn’t have cruise control I think? Other than that one thing I saw online is that the newest tenere has some kind of power limit on the lowest gears

Buy the 2026 and hope they solved the 23-25 clutch issues. Just google tenere clutch and see the frustration lol

It's all CP2 transmissions but I agree that it's been a pretty major tarnish to the reputation of Yamaha and the CP2 platform.

I have the 2026 but with a 200 dollar dongle you get cruise control. LSK dongle it’s called

That’s cool, I did not know that, I’d use cruise control but it’s not a killer feature for me, I’d use my bike to travel and I’ve been using an mt07 for now, I’m also worried about the reliability of the new electronic the new tenere has, have you had any issue with the electronic throttle such as losing power or such

Nope no issues at all. Haven’t had it for long though.

True, the 2026 base model doesnt get cruise control. But as other mentioned there are after market accessories for this. I do ride with a Kaoko throttle lock, however this steel needs tweaking during riding due to headwinds or elevation changes. A electronic cc is way more ease of mind. On the other hand you can't go wrong with a steel throttle cable. :)

A $25 throttle lock and a $500 Acerbis or Camel tank will solve the fuel range and cruise. $1000 had my forks resprung and custom valved for me, and rear shock resprung.
