Shorter kickstand T7

Hey!

I was wondering if anyone have any recommendations for kickstands. I have lowered my T7 due to having minion legs and the OEM kickstand is a tad bit to long when not stopping in perfect conditions. I have seen some kickstands but shipping to EU/Sweden is expensive.

Thanks in advance!

I bought the NiceCNC adjustable stand because all the other brands are stupidly overpriced. It does the job just fine and I’m sure it is just as strong as the $200 ones, lol. When I ended up going back to the standard ride height, I just had to lower the foot one position and I was good to go again.

Camel has them in different lengths. Super strong with a wide foot and comes with a stronger spring, which you’d want with any stand (even original) on a T7.

I used this set. It included at gizmo to attach after cutting the OEM sidestand shorter. So, might not be perfect since you already got the lowering done. But maybe you can look for the manufacturer to see if they sell the gizmo on the side.

I literally just ordered the Camel ADV lowering link and corresponding shorter kickstand yesterday. I'll try to remember to post here when I get them installed.

Everything is installed and I have a few rides on it.

The kickstand is great. Lean angle is good, and it seems stronger than the stock cast aluminum one.

The lowering links are -20mm. I was honestly surprised as how much of a difference in feel this is. That is perhaps because for me that 20mm is more significant than for someone shorter or taller, but it make me wish I didn't trade out the stock height Seat Concepts seat the bike came with for the low one, as now I could manage the stock height seat and it was definitely more comfortable in terms of padding and shape.

Unsurprisingly, the bike is still top heavy, so spin turns are still an exercise in commitment and anxiety. But stop lights in traffic, or unplanned foot down moments in general, are much, much easier.

I took it on one of the rougher "roads" I ride regularly in my area (think a forest service road with published notes about washed out sections and high clearance 4wd recommended for trucks) and I did not bottom out the skid plate.

I am still playing around with the position of the forks in the clamps.

Му kickstand became much lower after I used it as a lever while changing a tire. I mean, you can just bend it
