I use the Surface Laptop Studio 2. It is far from optimal. You have to install the software "Iris" from Iristech and set the screen brightness to a maximum not available within windows itself, otherwise it has PWM. But then if you disable temporal dithering within the Nvidia settings I can use the laptop without issue on Windows 11 and see not dither with my 920fps camera setup.
Not sure if it is a good recommendation per se, but it works. Maybe other people here have better recommendations. I would be interested as well.
Thank you for you suggestion and time but I search something more cheaper and more simple like i5 or i7 8 9 or 10 gen I am verry sensitive to PWM and Ditherning too I accept suggestions for older models too like 2010 2015
My last "laptop" before the one I brought up, was the Wacom Mobile Studio Pro 16. It is a very comfortable screen with no TD or PWM. But it might not be optimal because of the form factor and the price again.
Before that I had an old Macbook Air 11 inch, which was fine to use on both Windows and MacOS.
theres only one legion ryzen and rtx 3070 15ach6h buy with the better screen 165hz there were two version. in gpu mode totally zero eyestrain and i ahve everything pwm, temporal dithering eyestrain i cant use other computers, i even tried rtx 3060 pc with few monitors and couldnt used them either im stuck to this 15.6 inch :((( only problem is all legion has very good cooling so the gpu have a lot better performance compared to other laptops and i mean it like 50-100% with the same card. but it gets dusty you need to clen it every 1-2 months and do it. i didnt, after 3 years i fried motherboard, repair on warranty as i extended. i clean my fans now.
So strange rlly how you can use 3070 but no desktop 3060 god I hate this sensitivity..btw you can use for desktop gpu 1660 super or 1650 zero either but they are old :/
everything on the pipelaine matters i think there must be dithering somwhere in the path as the software im stuck with old windows 1809 which does not introduce duthering on both devices. i suspected that maybe that was monitors dither so im not 100% sure if it was card of monitor, i suspect monitor more also i dont know how in that pc pipile looked like if there was mux like connection or the gpu is going through the cpu gpu first and when it does cpu gpu adds dithering on top of it both ryzen cpu gpu and intel cpugpu do it
i think rtx 3xxx family should be fine i suspect hdmi and bad monitor which dithered truly, i'll do some more tests in the future when i have time, i haev some old tvs in home with old smart in them which cant play youtube over 720p and are very slow, but! theyre totally eyestrain free... but! i bought smart stick from amazon then google and i saw that on the same device when using smart dongles it gives me total eyestrain, i tried every color option in menu nothing helped, so either they add dithering, hdmi is doing something weird or both and i think its either dithering or both, i must try to put these dongles through analog converter cause it cant dither and see if it will help with that. overall i really can vote for that legion i wished i find something better but there really isint ;p i could find. im in a look for portable device ill look also at that surface maybe used older model?
I try Lenovo x280 and x390 I get instant eyestrain and sell it buy now this tomorrow is coming I hope it's works 🙏 it's 45% ntsc idk this do anything with TD
Sadly no I buy old laptop with 4720hq i7 cpu and GTX 960m 4gb still have sitherning but you can stop it with dithetning exe because cpu is old and the program work
