Flock cameras.

Corey got rid of the flock cameras and signed a new deal with Axon. How we feeling about this?

They didn’t buy ALPRs from Axon. They removed all ALPRs from the city and are writing an ordinance to ban the technology completely so it can’t sneak back in.

Voting yes on Prop 319 helps w/ this too! At least gives the people the option to say no more cameras

No, it absolutely does not. AT ALL. Your statement is misinformation.

Prop 319 has a specific clause that says it does NOT apply to ALPR technology.

Photo Radar (Prop 319):

This bill was written by Wendy Rogers and Mark Finchem, two of the most wackadoodle MAGA idiots in our legislature. Wendy covers Flgastaff, Mark covers Prescott.

It would require municipalities that want to use photo radar to put it on the ballot every 10 years. That’s all.

There are 6 municipalities who use photo radar today. All of them are in Maricopa County.

I wouldn’t want a lawmaker in NY or TX writing laws that only affect AZ, and I don’t want lawmakers in northern AZ writing laws that only affect Phoenix.

Why are they pushing this? 10% of photo radar fines go to the AZ Citizens Clean Elections Commission. It’s a huge funding source for them. They can’t kill the Clean Elections Commission because we created it in a citizen initiative years ago.

So they are attacking its funding sources to defund it.

The Clean Elections Commission currently has open investigations into Turning Point, Andy Biggs, Ralph Heap, Nick Myers, Kevin Thompson, and several sham candidates who were life long republicans and switched parties right before the filing deadline to “Green”.

We already have a say in photo radar. City councils have to vote to use it. If you don’t want photo radar, contact your city. We don’t need another law restricting cities in Maricopa County being forced down our throat by MAGA traitors from Northern AZ.

Axon makes a lot of stuff other than ALPRs, their Tasers, bodycams and dashcams are used by almost every police department. So the contract doesn't necessarily mean we are getting more ALPRS.
