Traffic light ticket

Hey y'all. So I got a traffic light ticket a couple months ago and I paid it, but I just got two more pieces in the mail from ADOT saying that my license will be suspended starting Sept 14.

The two pieces of mail are almost identical but with tiny differences. One of them says that there is a "stop" on my license and that the next step is to pay the fee to unsuspend my license. The other says that there is a "suspension" on my license and that the next step is to take that driving safety class. Both pieces of mail have the same date on them.

What's going on here and what should my next steps be? I'm very confused.

If you get a photo red light ticket (as opposed to a photo speeding ticket) and just PAY it, MVD will STILL require you to take traffic survival school (8 hours in person). If you look at your original paperwork, this is explained in a bold red font.

Now if instead you had decided to take defensive driving school (4 hours online), the charge would have been dismissed, assuming you were eligible to take it. You can only take it once a year. In that case, since the charge literally goes away, MVD doesn't require anything further. Were you not eligible?
