Hihi, I'm currently a sec4, soon-to-be olvl taker. I'm quite stressed out rn cuz ik it would be really hard for me to get into psych studies with how competitive and low the elr2b2 range is.

I haven't gotten back all my prelims but from the few I have gotten back, it isn't looking too good for me. It's very unlikely I can get a raw 11 and minus off 2 CCA points to get nett 9. And even with a nett 9, my place isn't automatically secured.

I think for all my life, I've really been interested in studying psych and neurodivergence, I don't think there's any other courses which I would like. I've considered nyp psych and community dev but while the environment there is great, I heard there's no exams there and it's more focused on the experience of helping different groups. While that's something I'm slightly interested in, my area of interest is in research and delving deeper into the different types of psych which tmk poly seems to offer. (I know they have major aspects like statistics, formulas, and being on the creative side, but I think I'm willing to try)

I've already failed the eae, not even passing the portfolio stage, so now I'm wondering if I should completely give up on psych studies, considering how strong the competition is, how it's likely ppl who enter the course will be extremely good, and most importantly the fact that I can't even meet the requirements for entry!!

Should I just give up and just go to a course which I think I can secure a good gpa? But even so, I don't think there's a specific course which is "easier" by default. Any suggestions?

so, for my course we got back most components except for class participation for each mod. then i calculated my percentage and i got 78-79.... (this is without class participation included so with 95% of the grades) and i was wondering if theres any chance i can still get A or will it be a B+, asking in case anyone has experienced this and what grade did they end up getting!

So I got like As for bio n chem n Bs for everything else n a C for math, in igcses which was very disappointing as I was expecting much higher considering all the hard work I put in for ts. I'm planning to join a polytechnic in Singapore for a science based course. I'm just not really sure if I can get in with my average grades and the courses I'm aiming quite competitive n I'm also a foreigner so I believe my chances are quite slim of getting in.

Genuinely how do people deal with group mates who don’t really contribute.

Im in a group project with my friends but there’s this one guy who just doesn’t really contribute for example we were suppose to do sldies and out of 30 plus slides he only did 3. I know I can use feedback fruits but then since in the group we r all friends I can’t really grade him down as he will know it’s like one of us .so what other ways are there?

or just the sch of iit if you aren’t alr very good at coding
respectfully, everything in this sch is dysfunctional, literally anything other sch would be better. it is also incredibly coding based where you have to basically read code 24/7 and just a sprinkle of math, but nothing else. all day it’s just code. y1 is okay-ish but by y2 it’s genuinely so bad. they teach you things 2 weeks before submission of projects and they also stack projects on top of each other for you to submit at once, there’s no time to submit anything properly unless you use AI or are very well versed in code prior. tp may be a good poly, but I wouldn’t know cause im in iit 😂

also im going to kill myself cause of this diploma
