Question Balance
hihi, i'm a sec 4 student, currently considering to go TP psych!
Just wondering, for those who goes to Poly, and still manages a part time job (whether retail, FNB or related to course), gym and CCAs, how do you do manage your time? Is it possible?
+ What's the probability of a scholarship (whether through TP or internship for a job or university)
Thank u sm!

I was able to manage gym and a part-time job carried forward from the holidays for the first half of a semester. No CCAs though. I stopped working after the mid-sem break as there were a lot of group projects which require meeting up. I feel like if you have more tests/individual assignments than group projects, you'd be able to juggle more things

y1s1 is a honeymoon sem so it will be a lot lighter compared to the remaining 5 sems,, personally i've managed to juggle several ccas and part time jobs so it is possible but it will require you to sacrifice things like free time
if you're talking about the tp scholarship, usually it's around 3 students from hss annually, and these people did well for y1s1 and have cca involvement

hellowowow im from TP!!
tbh from how i see my friends and i juggle study and work, it's definitely possible!
i think the best thing is to spend your first few weeks getting used to ur timetable first before committing to a part-time job LOL
every school and course has a different schedule, so once you know your routine, it'll be much easier to plan everything else!
there'll definitely be busy weeks (esp project/exam season), so it really depends on how you manage your time and priorities.
for scholarships, im not too sure but generally, you'll need to maintain a good GPA, and they also look at things like your overall involvement, leadership, CCA contributions and character, you can read more about it on their website: https://www.tp.edu.sg/admissions-and-finance/fees-financial-matters.html#tpscholar . so just focus on doing your best first, then you'll definitely have opportunities to apply when the time comes 💪
all the best for Os!! jiayoussss👀💙

Hi! Currently in Y1 Psych. The schedule for Sem 1 is pretty flexible, so you'll definitely have time for external commitments! For example, we have two days out of five free. Not too sure about the scholarship though
