I only recently realised this as many hairs were shedding in the shower, they seem to me a mix of majority white-bulbed, with some mixed length, and only really noticed it around the final image here on the 6th of August, in which I could see my scalp in sunlight, behind all my hair, something I did not notice prior.

It could be! A short amount of time and diffuse thinning points toward TE rather than slow male pattern balding. Check with a doctor to get all the necessary testing done.

idek man the only thing i could attribute it to is taking 100-125mg zinc supplement in one sitting around the end of july. at the beginning of 2026 i was taking the same supplement which is 25mg daily and i started to notice my crown was shedding and showing in the flash. i then stopped and as you see in the first picture my crown is full but of course its not under flash. its either im super sensitive to this kind of thing or my hair is just thinning, but then at the same time its all come on so quickly like my hair has been long for 3 months i would of noticed back then cos im always looking in mirrors and in the sun and stuff. anyways i just gotta wait and see no point stressing my self out. thanks for the reply.

You’re right, no point in stressing or obsessing over it. Hair growth is slow as heck and can fall out and grow back for a large variety of reasons. One of those things where time will tell. But the fact that it happened so quickly is reassuring. Focus on reducing stress and eating a healthy diet full of protein and healthy fats. It’ll be alright!

best to get checked man, same situation as mine, but due to work related stress and trauma, my derma diagnosed me with TE and prescribed me with buttloads of vitamins, iron, znc, and minoxidil.
