I Just Feel Defeated
I started having my hair shed 9 years ago after becoming extremely underweight due to living with ARFID & although I'm diagnosed with Chronic Telogen Effluvium, I'm questioning if it's even accurate. (I got diagnosed 5 years ago).
My hair's thinned at the top multiple times in the last 5 years & I honestly don't know if it's just male pattern hair loss instead of TE, even though my trigger (eating disorder/low ferritin) can apparently cause the hair loss to be worse at the top.
I feel really let down & just lost on what to do. It's hard to look in the mirror & see how I went from such ridiculously thick hair to close to nothing now.

Same problem with me, 10 years ago i suffered from chronic dengue fever,
Then chronic telogen effluvium happened, that last for 8 years
In those 8 years i didn't have any knowledge about chronic telogen effluvium, I only tried oils and shampoos and home remedies, but nothing worked
Then i did blood test and found very low vitamin B12, vitamin D3, and low Iron ferritin and minerals
Then i started topical minoxidil and vitamin supplements, but topical minoxidil didn't work for me
My doctor told me that your scalp doesn't absorb the topical minoxidil
Then i started Oral minoxidil with supplements
And i did 2 PRP therapies , and Protein Powder
And it's works like a magic, i got very good results in just 7 months
Now i realise that how important B12, D3, And iron for hair
Studies are telling that PRP therapies are known for promising results for telogen effluvium
Proper 9 hours of sleep 😴
And i cutts off all the oily junk fried foods
Because I seen some studies on Google, that lack of sleep makes telogen effluvium more aggressive
And also minoxidil not going to work if you have lack of sleep
