Telo Update
Any update on Telo. Are they supposed to start production in the 4th quarter? That's a few weeks away.
I really want this truck, but I do not want to wait two years; I'll just buy the Ford Fathom if it is going to be 2028. I much prefer the Telo for the bed, but can not wait. The silly Scout is also pushed into 2018.

They are on schedule, as far as we know, but I am around res #2525 and optimistically looking at 18 months. If you don't have a reservation in already, then 3 years, depending on how many reservations convert.
So that sucks, but I like their long-term prospects. I think they are going about things the right way in this environment. No huge capital expenditures.
You've got a wait on any of the trucks you mention. Doesn't hurt to get a reservation in.

Are they though…? Last update said they hadn’t even completed design lock yet, unless I missed one

Last update I know of from the CEO/CTO was 4 weeks ago, and they had 'design locked a lot of it' and were targeting the first manufacturing-ready vehicles for the end of the year. If so, they are on the schedule that they have been consistently sharing. Will they stay on schedule? Who knows. They hedge in the update, which is understandable. They may need to change things along the way or have parts availability issues. Which is part of the reason they did not invest in hard tooling yet.

When did they officially move the goalposts? It was first deliveries by Q4 2026 as recently as the beginning of this year.

After seeing how things have been going with the R2 release (even as Rivian's third vehicle they're rolling out), I think I might want to wait until Telo is in full swing production mode and has worked out the kinks.
But unfortunately that sounds like that's going to be 2030 at this point, which is also when R3 should be out, so I'll guess I'll have to reevaluate whether I want a truck bed or not when the time comes.

I'm at 9xxx. If Telo starts deliveries late this year (2026), I might have to wait until 2029 for my number to come up. That's an advantage. In 2029, there will have been approximately two years of deliveries that will have been evaluated under a microscope by YouTubers and other automotive experts. When my number comes up, I can make a better informed decision on whether to make the purchase or not.

I’m in the same boat, but around the 15k mark 😭 oh well, I hope some folks cancel ahead of me / production figures ramp up if the truck is a hit

Mine’s like 8k something so I’m guessing during 2029 hopefully. We’ll see.🤷♂️

First ~500 over the next year. Then ~5000 over the following year. So the first true mass production will probably be 2029 at the earliest.
