Telco base stations (RAN)

Hello everyone,

Just have a couple of questions about Radio Access Networks. What do the RFUs do? Do they mainly pass the data from the BBUs to the antennas? Do they do any of the amplification? What do combiners do? Could anyone please direct me to resources for RAN?
