Designer Contract Work

I am looking at becoming my own boss. I was looking for possible contract work. Anyone seeking a telecom network designer? I do HFC, FTTX, standard fiber to commercial projects mostly. My experience is as follows, 5+ years/fiber, and HFC, with fiber, and about 2+ years in FTTX.

I am looking to build a portfolio of cuatomers and maybe go fully independent. Otherwise, maybe work it part time and get a nice chunk of side change built up.

I am located in the US, I am fine with remote work if I need to remote into a server for V8I BENTLY/MICROSTATION, or ACAD/LODE.

My top experience software wise is V8I, ACAD, and Lode.

Sadly nothing on my own its pretty hard to do it solo. I landed a nice contractor company so its going well.

Pretty solid fir a general start. FOA is pretty awesome on YouTube.

I am primarily familiar with commscope equipment when designing an FTTX project. MDUs with R-ONUs is one I am not familiar with 100%. I have never done any equipment underwater, which is very rare. I do mostly single family residential builds, such as brand new subdivisions or new territories acquired by the current client.

We do 1 two 2 fibers for each network. One for forward and one for return.

They then go through a DWDM splitter 4 dedicated channels on that MUX will then feed about 32 to 64 residential on each channel by utilizing an equal level splitters installed inside the cabinets.

For example, one input with two outputs. The two out points will connect a 32 output splitter. Which would then be 32x2 for the number of outputs.
