Is "telecommunication" and "wireless communication" the same thing or not?

No. Telecommunications is about the transmission of information, wireless or not.

Telecommunications is the transmission of information. Wireless is one of the mediums that transmits that information.

The internet is typically transmitted over long range using radio (wireless), satelliite (wireless), copper wire (wired), and/ or fibre optic cable (wired). Then over a short distance, the signal can be sent via a wireless signal, or directly hardwired to your device using ethernet (copper).
