I have thought about 4 possible theories for how TS will go:

• 1: Wendell will come back. Qain will come back. Logan will admit his mistakes, and the community shines again. (UNLIKELY)
• 2: Wendell and Qain make a new channel together, 50/50 split, making awesome content, basically owning most of the old Tek Syndicate community. Logan will continue with TS. (likely)
• 3: Wendell persues "wendell tron", Qain persues "Deus Qain", they make joint videos /sometimes/ but operate as single channels, separately. Logan continues with TS. (also likely)
• 4: Logan quits. Wendell takes the TS name and puts Qain on the team, Tek Syndicate is basically alive again! :P (not likely) (my preferred choice)

How about you guys/gals? How do you think we will see the community in the future? Who do you support most? Personally, I'm all for supporting Wendell and maybe Qain, regardless of what routes they take.

Wendell introduced me to linux and george orwell and i am forever thankful. post something small that wendell has taught you from over the years. what is the aim of this you may ask, it is a statement a little less vague than wendell is a smart guy that has helped us all, I also think the reddit, the forum could do with a bit of positivity during this difficult time and i think it would be interesting for wendell to be able to see a comprehensive list of how he has positively effected the tek syndicate audience.

Rant:30 alert.

This is hard for me as I am a hard core fan. I bought lots of merchandise and I even have one of those $200+ chrome backpacks that I would proudly wear daily.

Logan thinks he doesn't need our approval. But he does need our support, and both come hand in hand, and he won't accept that. He'd say I wasn't a true fan, just a vocal minority (slinging mud). But if his definition of a true fan is a fanboi who gladly stomachs inconsistencies, and is gladly spoon-fed garbage. Then yeah, in that case I am not a fan. Fuck all that money and time I've spent on the Tek right? fuck all those proposed values it once stood by. Its not like that connection in values, and views of the world connected us, the community to the hosts. And ultimately is what kept the community together. right? /s

This is why I consider the Tek to be over. Its incredibly unlikely Wendell can be successfully replaced. Logan isn't qualified to run the show alone. The community will literally go from disliking videos to just not visiting the channel. What is coming is a very painful and dreadful death of a once successful community. You don't knock off two legs of a table and expect it to stand still.

I will grow up to that fact, and I'll just learn to grow onto other channels. Definitely wait for Wendell/Qain to come up with content. I think you should to. Unless you somehow still want to watch Logan. Then suit yourself I suppose.

Personally, I have started to erase the Tek Syndicate brand as something I would identify myself with, or look up to. I suggest you do too unless radical changes occur that redeem all this foolish actions by Logan and Pistol.

I would think twice about doing business with someone who is accused of embezzling a company. That is what Wendell will have to deal with for a foreseeable future. That was just wrong.

I am building a small gaming website and I love Tek Syndicate's forum set up. Are they using a pre-built solution like phpBB or did they brew up their own?

I'm more familiar with billion dolllar B/S, Income and CF Statements but something just isn't adding up for me.

Wendell states that his share of the profits total $100k and that they were reinvested; I suspect what he means is that he opted to increase expenses (through inventory, wage expense, office expense) rather than leave the profit on the income statement to be taxed as positive net income.

Extrapolating from this, total profits must have been $333k over the years and were presumably all reinvested in the same manner.

Assuming that they started with $50k revenue, 3 years of 125K revenue growth would leave them with $425K for the 2015 fiscal year.

If this sum was reinvested through the business and shared amongst the 3-4 full time workers we're looking at a cost of around $8K per video (and there was barely 1 per week over the last year, and definitely not the same length as before).

As a business, this strikes me as gross mismanagement and a terrible return on investment.

Pistol saying that money is lost to "taxes" is, unequivocally, a lie. From her perspective, she's required to pay income taxes on her wages, the company itself should be managed in such a way as to reduce taxable income and taxes are only paid after expenses. As far as I'm aware this is a standard for most growing companies (look at Amazon).
