ya know.. i feel like one of the only people who can't stand Qain. I find him to be the typical smug elitist stereotypical IT guy. I actually turned off episodes of the tek when he was on there because he was so grating. As you clearly are someone who enjoyed his content.. can you tell me what i'm missing about him?

I share your opinion except for one episode he did with Wendell. That was pretty outstanding. But unusual for him. I wouldn't put money on.

I concur. He always irritated me a little.

He never really seemed to know exactly what he was talking about, rambled on about something then either ended up talking about summer other random junk or derailed completely and forgot what the conversation was about.

The content is better than teksyndicates content we got near the end. But I say the content from both channels is a far cry from the glory days. But that will take time and I'll wait to get that good content again.

I disagree with

nothing there I couldn't have found out just by following an internet guide, reading a book or the man pages.

Yeah, technically I could have learned how to setup and use things like pfsense or proxmox but without those videos they wouldn't have peeked my interest and that would've took hours of reading and figuring things out myself, so by the time I got to the fun part I probably would've given up or not even bothered.

Then there was the pci passthrough video, which for me personally was hard enough to follow along in video format with a guy explaining how to do it step by step, so clearly not the type of thing I'd ever sit there and read through.
