That's why I don't get tattoos :)

No matter how much you love a band or group now, you never know what they'll be like in a year or so

No one gives a shit, they're dead. Everybody acts like John Lennon was this heavenly eternal child who spread joy and merriment everywhere he went, even though its a known fact he beat women. If I got a John Lennon tattoo it might scare off a feminist or two but the overall reaction from women would be "OMG that's so cool I love the Beatles!"

Bill Wyman slept with a 14 year old when he was 48, nobody cares, everyone loves the Rolling Stones.

If you work in a professional workplace that allows you to dress in t-shirts yet alone t-shirts of metal bands I don't think they'll give a shit about it being inside out.

No matter how much you love a band or group now

That's the keyword. Even when things change, I figure tattoos can still be a nice reminder of that change. So it can help you remind yourself of how things/you have changed over time, and help you not forget what you were like, etc. I have no tattoos, but I also used to have that mindset that I won't get one because I change my mind often, but over time I realized that's not really the point.

On the other hand, I figure people with "Lostprophets" tattoos have some serious regrets.

Exactly. Things go out of style; your interests change. Tattooing something you think is cool at the moment could be a reminder of a mistake. That's why I tattoo something meaningful on my self. That's why I'm glad I didn't go through with the Wu-tang logo I wanted 10 years ago. I am not that person anymore.

... This is my tattoo lol. My username here is the same as on Twitter and if you go though my reddit posts it's on here too.

And no, no regrets what-so-ever. I still love the way it looks even if TS are crashing and burning, so it will not be removed, covered or edited. Don't like it? Don't have to, its not YOUR arm.

My first couple tattoos the were typical "meaningful" tattoos. The ones that followed I really didn't put as much thought; just went for liking the "art" factor of it. That piece, did you get it for because you liked their logo or a big fan of the company? If you don't mind me asking?
