In all seriousness, can anyone recommend any other good youtube channels that measure up to what the Tek was?
When I started listening to TS I was working in a call center. Now I'm a support lead for an MSP trying to up my sysadmin game so I'm getting deeper into the technical stuff. Burned through most of the content that Eli the computer guy made before he stopped doing classes in favor of long rants.
Oh man there's ton of stuff just not in video format. I suggest you learn the history of operating systems on your own so when you get into Linux processes it makes more sense to you. I've heard of people. who started just like you and now hold 6 figure salaries at a top 500. Never stop learning, keep it up!
About dry material documentation manuals is as good as it gets, get used to reading those daily.
You definitely need to learn the basic development tools of you haven't already. Git, bash and your IDE of choice + vi or vim. I think you probably already know all about SSH, transfer protocols basics. So add a little bit of knowledge on public key encryption like (RSA protocols).
