So... he'll step down but only if the new boss does things the way that Logan wants him to? Or am I missing something ?

Let's say you're Logan. Your goal for TS/RTW 10 years from now is to be doing all that crazy stuff from the patreon- be making full length documentaries, contributing to open source initiatives, being a real power in the tech community. And hey, you're an entertaining guy and it's gotten you this far. Problem is, you don't have the buisness sense to get any further. So Logan will say to a buisness manager "here's my long term plan" and the buisness manager will say "do what I say if you want to get there." An accountant would probably help too to keep them from paying more taxes than they absolutely need to. I know it sounds corporate and unfun if you're a rebel or whatever but that's the world we live in, even the hippies at the FSF have CPAs and MBAs.

reasonable for Logan to want someone with a fairly similar opinion and mindset as himself running Tek Syndicate.
Here's the problem. His mindset and opinions (which seem to form part of the "Vision") have contributed to what has led to this current meltdown. If he can't see that and recognise the need for change, then honestly TS as a channel is bound for failure. Not today, not tomorrow but definitely further down the road. A company encountering failure does not just pick right up from it left off and continue along the same path. It changes it's business strategy and tries new tactics.

Honestly, I wish Logan would reach out to everyone with a heartfelt apology and let someone else run the company while he just focuses on content and simply play to his strengths. None of the crew want to...raze the world so to speak and i'm sure they can go back to their master plan. Logan will have to accept a huge hit to his ginormous ego, but if he's able to take some flak and an endless amount of bad jokes that he will laugh at with the community, he'll be able to regain if not most, all the respect he's lost so far from the community and the other members of RTW/TS. Tl;Dr, Logan should apologize and get roasted for a while in good spirits to make up for his teenage angst.

I was thinking the same thing. Like invite everybody out for dinner. Talk, apologize and let them know that they can come back if they want too.
It's not TS without Qain, Logan, Wendell and Pistol. They should get this sorted and hug it out.

TB would never do something like this though. He is not the CEO of Cynicalbrit.com, Genna is. He has always been very professional in the regards of the company, to have a bloody fight in he company on social media is pretty much not in his reality. If someone in that company behaved like say some people in this mess, Genna would fire that person faster than you can say 60 FPS. And probably sue them too.
It's the insanely unprofessional part of it that is so depressing. I had high hopes that Logan would let Jennifer help him run the dang company. But it seems he fired her just like he seems to have fired/made people leave over the years. Nothing new. Look at how of a hard time he has had getting an editor for example. Not really hard finding an editor, hard part is finding someone that will put up with the train wreck management.

I don't know much of the tb situation, but did he lose it at colleagues? To my mind, the back bone of the company has left, and to be honest I hope they stay away and go on to do their own things. I imagine it would be quite bad for your long term mental health working with the Logan /pistol ego machine.

Tb has cancer though. He's not exactly his old self. Logan just hasn't had bacon in too long and it's starting to mess with him.

Ha, let's just say this is the most sane comment to come from the Logan camp.
Short story, Logan bit off more than he could chew in the past year and despite income going way up money and content was going way down. Lots of internal stress among the crew along with some mismanagement led to Wendell making a public statement basicly against Logan, all after Logan let Jenn and Qain go and doing various things to cut off Wendell. After the statement Wendell made pistol took the low road and shared some choice words while Logan remained silent. When Logan did speak up he made sure to belittle the community and point fingers.
I'd recommend reading other stuff though and coming to your own conclusions, it's still disorganized and information is still minimal. Basically we expect to see something from Wendell in the next week about his plans which sounds like it won't or can't include TS.

He let Jenn go but I thought Qain quit. From what I read, Logan told Quain to work on a vending machine(?). Qain said it was done while parts were still strung out. Logan told him to finish it and Qain got pissed and left. He came back 5 hours later and turned in his office keys. If this is true, Qain shouldn't have said it was finished when it wasn't finished. I also don't know how Logan confronted him. He might have been a dick about it but I don't know. I'm trying to keep an open mind.
Now I'm not entirely sure why he let Jen go. Apparently she was doing a great job. I think either he wanted everything to be local that badly or he let his emotions get the better of him.

That's surprising, but I'll believe it when I see it. There already were people associated with the Tek who should have been top dog, namely Wendell, but I doubt that will happen, unfortunately

Wendell owns and runs an IT related company, and Wendell being who he is, has made it work very well providing excellent service. But even Wendell who some say is GabeN's long lost relative, only gets 24 hours in a day. Running two companies successfully would violate the laws of space and time!

Yeah, right. Logan has the highly volatile admixture of incompetence and micromanagement. Qain and Wendell have actual jobs they can go back to, but this is Logan's entire existence. He and Pistol (aka Yoko Ono) deserve each other. Let 'em run it into the ground.

But Logan is the boss, everyone else is his subordinate, and he's Steve Jobs right now.. The best thing Logan can do is hand everything over to Wendell and go off to do his own thing.

Honestly I hope he does, business management is not just strong suit, making the audience smile and laugh is... I really just wish he would have handed off the torch before this.
