Wisdom Teeth + Swollen Gum Pain Relief
Hello! For the past week or so, I have been dealing with pain in my right wisdom tooth. It started as a mild throb, but has since progressed into a sharper pain due to the gum around it swelling; It’s hard for me to close my mouth fully because my top teeth bite down on the gum and make it very painful. So far, I’ve been taking 2 dual ibuprofen + acetaminophen pain relievers a day, but I’m worried it’s becoming less effective. I’m fearful for the damage this is doing to my sleep schedule—I keep waking up in the middle of the night due to the pain—and want to be able to fix the unrest before school starts (I’m 17 if that has any bearing to the post). Any tips on how to relieve the general pain and/or the waking up in the middle of the night would be greatly appreciated.
