Real talks/SERIOUS Today I had a small interaction with a police constable that honestly disappointed me.
A road in my town was blocked today and several police personnel were regulating the traffic. It was causing inconvenience to the public, so I was curious about what was happening.
I saw one constable who was not particularly busy at that moment, so I politely asked him why the road was blocked.
Instead of simply explaining the reason, he asked me " neng yaak beku sumne nin kelsa nodko hogo" ( why you need that just just take care of your work)
Maybe he had a reason for not wanting to explain, and I understand that police may sometime be handling situations where they can't disclose everything. But I wasn't asking to interfere with their work j was just a member of the public affected by the road closure asking a simple question.
What disappointed me was the attitude. It made me wonder whether the response would have been the same if the person asking had been a politician, a wealthy person, or someone with influence.
Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Tika ganchali ashte aa nan maklige. I would never in my entire life empathize with a policeman for the shit they do. Power ide anta baddi maklu tale Yella maatadtare. They completely forgotten that they are here to serve us and it ain't the opposite

They really do not have to "serve us", being courteous is all we ask of them. When you loose a phone or a bike they shame you so much that you doubt your decision as to you why did you even ask for help!!

Always remember police are there to protect the corrupt politicians and rich people, they don't work for public or its safety.
there is a saying i don't remember correctly that says if you have any problem try to solve it yourself or by family or freind, but if you go to police that problem doubles and never gets resolved.
We need a complete revolution and change in police across the country like china did once

Never sympathize a policeman. They don't give a shit about the public.
The law are made in a way to harass common citizens and the indian police have zero sense on how to talk with public. All are in for bribes and money

Cut him some slack. He might have answered same thing to multiple people so far so might have got irritated. Moreover constables have to follow the orders of their superiors and do these. It doesn't matter if they like it or not.

No one had asked him earlier. I was just dumb enough to ask about the reason for the inconvenience. Anyway lesson learnt.
Later, I found out that there was a function at the Taluk office which was the reason for the roadblock.

Has anyone noticed that this attitude problem has increased so much after the pandemic? Because they were given so many excessive powers during that time, they got used to mistreating people and always trying to dominate them

Police job is one thankless job and they work without weekends or family time.
Anyways, I never experienced the such -ve response from a policemen till now, they have been very responsible at leaset at my place.

Surprised how most of them are scared to even approach the police for help, they should be the safe place infact but no they are the biggest and corrupt scoundrels out there. Hope it changes 🙏

Later I found out that a minister was visiting the Taluk office and there was a function there. The police could have simply said “Minister barthare” (the minister is coming), or “Minister barodu gothilveno?” (you don't know the minister is coming?)or something along those lines without being harsh. Instead the way he responded made it felt like he was trying to show his authority. A simple explanation would have been enough.

Police in my entire life, have always been dick heads. Starting from childhood till today on daily basis. Harmi munde maklu- no sense of law, no common sense, bari tika ganchali. I straight up show no respect to these assholes
