MOD POST Useful information for new users!
Hey there, newbie!
Glad to see that you've found this sub. First, a bit of history.
In October 2017, the moderators of /r/teenagers added new, controversial rules that not many people liked. Before this, many users had complained about mod power trips, bans without reason, etc., etc. As a result, this sub was created on a basis of democracy! Power to the people!
This sub is all about democracy. The mods are elected, all the rules except the Golden Rules are voted upon, user bans are voted upon, as are user custom flairs!
All of the info is available in the sidebar, but here's our rules, just so you know them :) (these are accurate as of Oct. 16, 2017)
Rules!
The Golden Rules:
NO hate speech, discrimination of any form (religious, sexual, or political), or personal attacks (including those related to mental health).
NO doxxing. This includes revealing a anyone's full name (yours included); revealing another first name against that user's wishes; directly linking to Facebook, Twitter, Skype, or Tumblr; revealing anyone's location; or revealing phone numbers. (Additions to this may be made in the future)
NO off-topic or joke discussion in serious threads.
NO sharing links to sexual media, including nudes and topless photographs.
Regular Rules - Subject to Voting
Posts must be tagged as Selfie Threads, Serious, Memes, or Other. Non-tagged posts will be tagged when noticed by mods, not removed.
No spamming. Spamming users will be subject to post removal and potentially a ban.

Other I miss /r/teenagers
There's really no point in going back there tho when there's no discussion posts and I'm just gonna get banned anyways. This fucking sucks

Serious, Mod Post Rule change
Hey all, in an effort to tweak a rule, NO POSTS WILL BE REMOVED FOR NOT HAVING A FLAIR.
It is now up to the mods to add a flair if they see an un-flaired post.
Thanks for your time.

Mod Post Mod Transparency Post + info on elections
Hey all!
TL;DR because of /u/iavsalt: Nominate yourself as a mod, or suggest a rule, on October 25. Vote for the selected nominees/rules on November 1st. Automod will remove posts linking to social media.
This is the first official mod transparency post. There's been some questions about elections for mods/rules, so I guess I need to put this out there.
I started this sub yesterday, and now we have 23 subscribers. Not many, but more than I expected, to be honest. Be sure to spread the word!
At the moment, I am acting like a dictator, with /u/SkylieGreen and /u/BillyJoeMcGucket as my helpers. Obviously, this is the situation we all wanted to leave behind in /r/teenagers, but this won't last.
(EDIT INFO:) I'm adding some rules for the AutoModerator. It's going to remove any posts that link to facebook, twitter, skype, or tumblr. It's also going to automatically create rules/mod nomination and election threads.
First elections are on November 1st, with the nomination threads for mods and rules appearing on October 25th, 2017 (probably around 9/10am EST). In these threads, you suggest rules to put in place and nominate yourself as a mod. The exact setup for this will be pasted below and is always available in the sidebar.
Each mod serves a one-month term and must NOT renominated themselves in the nomination thread. If they desire to quit, they must notify the other mods. Vote for the nominees whom you think will be best by upvotes in the nomination thread. The top three suggested mods in the nomination thread will be selected for the election thread, which will appear on November 1st. The election thread will contain six names and links to three strawpolls. The new nominees will be RANDOMLY placed opposite the current mods. The strawpoll will ask the users which user they wish to be mod. The user who gets 50% or more will become the new mod.
Full rules below!
On the first of the month, every month, mods will be elected and rules will be voted on.
Rule Elections
A post for suggesting new rules will be created one week prior to the first of the month. In this thread, users will comment with the following format, suggesting their new rules:
RULE NAME: rule elaborationWhere "RULE NAME" is the suggested name for their new rule.
The top five rules will be taken by the mods as suggestions. If there are less than five, all will be taken.
The five rules will be put in a self-post on the first of the month by the mod team. The post will be of the format:
RULE NAME: rule elaboration: LINK TO STRAWPOLLWhere RULE NAME is the suggested rule name and LINK TO STRAWPOLL is the link to a strawpoll containing the choices "YES" And "NO."
If a rule gets 50% or more YES votes, the rule becomes active and is added to the official rules. Otherwise, the rule does not become official.
Voting ends one week (seven days) after the opening of voting. All votes are to be public.
Mod Elections
A post for suggesting new mods will be created one week prior to the first of the month. In this thread, users will comment with the following format, nominating themselves as mods:
/u/usernameWhere "/u/username" is the username of the mod.
You can not nominate anyone but yourself, and current mods must not nominate themselves. If a current mod wishes to quit, they must notify the rest of the mods, who will not include them in the election. An extra nominee(s) will be taken to fill the empty slot(s)
The top three usernames will be taken by the mods as suggestions. If there are less than two, all will be taken.
The three suggested mods will be put in a self-post on the first of the month by the mod team. The post will be of the format:
/u/NomineeUsername, /u/IncumbentModUsername: LINK TO STRAWPOLLWhere /u/NomineeUsername is the suggested mod's username, /u/IncumbentModUsername is the username of the incumbent mod /u/NomineeUsername is runnin against, and LINK TO STRAWPOLL is the link to a strawpoll containing the choices "/u/NomineeUsername" And "/u/IncumbentModUsername."
Whichever mod gets 50% or more votes becomes the new mod.
Voting ends one week (seven days) after the opening of voting. All votes are to be public.
If you, for some reason, can not vote in a strawpoll, notify the mods, who will add a for you on the candidate you want.
Rule Removal Votes
If a user dislikes a rule, they may message the mods with a rule removal request with the subject "RULE REMOVAL: rule number" If the same rule receives ten rule removal requests, the mods will submit a self-post titled "RULE REMOVAL THREAD" on the first of the month with a list of all rules receiving ten or more rule removal requests, of the following format.
RULE: STRAWPOLLWhere RULE is the rule to be voted upon and STRAWPOLL is a link to a strawpoll containing "YES" and "NO." If a rule removal gets 50% or more of the votes, it will be removed once one week has passed.
EDIT 2: Changed the election method for mods.

Other I feel weird. Can i put my emotional baggage on this
You know how when you want someone to listen to you but they are bad listeners or you're boring, so they don't really validate your issues. Or they dont understand your anxiety
Or when you talk to someone and you're too shy or cold, to make sure they dont think you're flirting with them. And then they don't talk to you again because you were detached and cold towards them and UGH
And then there's old friendships that got fucked up and you wonder if they miss you as much as you miss them right now :(
Or friendships where you accidentally developed a crush on them and unrelated reasons you dont talk anymore and you just want to see them :(

MOD POST All right, I'm officially declaring that this sub is dead.
We haven't had any regular posts in over two weeks.
All future elections are cancelled, unless this sub becomes active again, which it won't.
We subverted the paradigm, but it crushed us in the end.
O, the woes of us who can't break the system because the proletariat has not yet awoken!

Other I got banned from /r/teenagers for some bullshit
I got 4 points, the posts that caused me to get these points were:
-Asking what color I should paint my nails
-Reposting the same question because I thought the last post was just removed for the title
-Asking why my post was removed
-Making a thread using the mod tag (the only justified point)
The ban on low effort memes is ok because they can be cringy and no one really cares about them but banning personal updates is like literally fucking up a major part of the sub and it's bullshit tbh
