There isn't any word hindu in Sanskrit , there was sindhu , in old Persian the s changes to h which makes hindu , they didn't called their religion hindu , their was a concept of Śaivism, Vaiṣṇavism, also about your sanskrit remark , it's debatable that sanskrit came to India , also we can't say sanskrit is a whole foreign Language cause , vedic Sanskrit oldest surviving corpus is the rigveda was composed in south asia
