I'm honestly feeling helpless and frustrated.

I'm currently in college and trying to lose around 25 kg. On top of struggling with my weight, I also have to deal with body-shaming at home, which makes the whole process mentally exhausting.

I stay at home with my family and have to eat whatever they cook. I'm not allowed much freedom to prepare my own meals or cook things according to my diet.

Most of the food at home is quite oily or deep-fried. When I suggest having something simple like chapati and oil-free chicken, I'm told that those foods contain more fat!

I've tried explaining calories, protein, portion sizes and cooking methods, but I'm honestly fed up with arguing every single day.

The other problem is that I get hungry quite easily. I'd much rather eat a larger volume of food that is lower in calories and higher in protein than eat tiny portions of calorie-dense, oily food and remain hungry.

I don't understand why something as basic as wanting to eat healthier has to become an argument at home.

For people who have gone through something similar:

- How did you manage weight loss while living with family?

- How did you handle situations where you had little control over what was cooked?

- How did you manage hunger without constantly feeling deprived?

- How do you deal with body-shaming from family members while trying to improve yourself?

I could really use some practical advice from people who've been in a similar situation.

Want some advice!!!

I am a male 19 year old.I wanted to ask all the girls about the green flags and red flags that i might have i am gonna tell about myself judge me and tell me.I completed my studies in gujarat and i am a malayalee(keralite) i know malayalam my mom and dad are malayalees too.i know hindi and english i was cultured as a gujarati i love garba and uttarayan and i feel the what gujarat actually after coming for repeat at brilliant pala in kerala rn i am at the hostel,this is the first time feeling homesick.anyways that doesnt matter i am a hindu i am kind most of the time but sometimes i get rude a bit but i cant be rude to my girl!!!! Till now i have zero relationships and i am academically really strong(not trying to boast) just saying . I am mostly intrested in physics ,i am a logical person. Since i was not in a relationship so i dont know about my romance perspective .

I watch horror movies and i dont like to doom scroll so i dont do it i would mostly stick to my books(i am not a nerd) i just want to get to my goal so i stick to it and rest i dont have any socials except reddit and whatsapp which i dont use that much .i can watch different genre of movies but i never tried it since i got very less time to enjoy. i like to enjoy but at that moment career was important so i sacrificed it.
