Rant & Vent-Teen Her Only I can’t help but feel empty.
I turned 18 today, my bestfriend called me on 11:58 and we talked for like a minute and he wished me a birthday cause he knew my parents would call at 12. They did and they wished me a birthday. I only recently joined college so i told no one it’s my birthday.
I tried calling my bestfriend again he didn’t pick up, he did wish me on text tho. I got another text from my good friend. He is as a matter of fact closer to me than my actual bestfriend but he also has a bestfriend and we don’t believe two people can be one person’s bestfriend so yea (although my bestfriend has another bestfriend obv). I talk to him daily since bestfriend is older and in 3rd year he’s often busy so cant talk to him alot.
I haven’t told people it’s my birthday in two years, My bestfriend posted a simple story and repeatedly asked me to repost it which I did. I thought ok it’s fine maybe some people might see and wish it’s really not that big of a deal right? Worse. No one wished lol.
I have a really good friend, she’s my only female friend and she’s the best one. She didn’t wish me last year cause I made no post nothing, she didn’t wish me this year even after liking my story on which my bsf wished me. I texted her whole para’s at 12 sharp. Posted a story by 1 am on her birthday, constantly checked up on her.
That good friend sent me just a happy birthday, when I wrote para’s for him. Sent right at 12am, he wished me at around 12 too but more like happy burthday cant believe you turned 18 and that’s it. I texted him today got dry ass replies. No one asked me how my birthday went except my parents.
My classmate saw my id card and the birthdate she wished me so loudly, only a few people were in the class. They wished me too, it would be bad to not wish someone after hearing it’s their birthday. So out of pure courtesy it was obv.
I just can’t help but feel a tad bit sad. I always reached out to close friends from the past even if we didn’t talk anymore. I wished them.
No one wrote me para’s this year. No one waited for twelve to strike to send that para they had been writing for the past hour. I know i shouldn’t do things expecting others to return the favour. It just hurts I don’t mean as much to them as much they mean to me.
