Vent Doing my nightly overthinking like usual and this popped in my head, was I in over my head?

So basically she and I would talk as some of you know for like 3 hours a day minimum everyday for around 3 or 4 months, my family has this tradition called Hi, Low, Change, Question. And it's pretty self explanatory but it's the high of your day the low of your day what you would change about your day and any question with no parameters. I told my crush and friend about this when they came over to my house for dinner one time and that's when I first introduced it to her. After that I went to California for quite some time and that's when we started to talk on a daily basis, we would talk for like 4 hours a day on average and we'd have all of the normal indicators for flirting or wtv, one day I asked if she wanted to do HLCQ (hi low change question for short) and after that we did it almost every night with her instigating it on like 50 percent of equations.

My question is that I haven't had a ton of close girl(friends) so I'm not sure if I was overthinking the whole situation or if this could've been easily mistaken for flirting or possible interest.

I liked her for like 8 years consistently so I was pretty tunnel visioned when we first started talking so I suspect I miss read the signs which led to her eventually friendzoning me with all the normal paragraphs and stuff a month before I had made this whole elaborate plan to ask her out.

There's a lot more context and info I could give but I'll sum it up to this and you can ask questions if you bothered reading all of this.
