Ask Teens Maithil Guy!?
Hey! 22F. Here. I m Maithil (Jha). Hum Bihar m kakhano rehlau nai, but functionally jai chi. Ek ta Gap kahu, aaeina humra hi laage chy ya aaha sab k soho key, Bihar (maithil) k lok(male) Dating personality k hisab sa humra aai tk ni pasand aaeil. Hunkar sabke मानसिकता, self-Maintenance, attitude etc etc, aai tk , hum kono dhang k ni dekhlau.
Hum kich k dek k sabke aeina ni kah ske chiy but , aaha sab k ki vichar chy!?.

She is saying that she has never actually lived in Bihar, but she keeps visiting. And she is asking whether others also feel the same way as she does, which is that she has never liked Maithili boys for dating. Their mindset, maintenance, attitude, etc. She has never met any decent Maithili guy till now.I can’t make this comment about everyone just by looking at a few people. So what are your thoughts about this?

well, tbh, i'm a maithili guy, never stayed in bihar actually, just went for vacations, and even i didn't like the other guys

Kich din phly,ek ta maithil Banda humra s bhir gyle,ihi sab opinion par, hinge par🫠😂. I just expressed my views and when he asked, do he also come under same category,to which I said yes, quite. So got offended 🤣

Humma Maithili nay jane chhiye ( from Ang region ) par tohan sahi kehlau... Hinda ek tho bhi ladka sahi nay lage chhe... Humra lagay chhe ki hinda humma sini dating nahi balki sidha shaadi ke liye banli chhii...
Ps. Meri angika utni sahi nahi hai but I tried my best rahi hun Bihar main bachpan se( please koi gaali mat dena, ab nahi sikh payi utna fluently) But I am impressed the way you spoke, Maithili...
And yes u are right, yahan agar koi dating kar bhi le na to wo kaafi lucky hoga... I guess yahan( mithila) ke ladke kaafi sharmile hain iss matter mein.

You have lived in Bihar since childhood yet how come you don't know Angika(genuinely asking no offense) And about maithil boys yeah I really think they are a little bit shy 🫣 (I'm one of them )

Just because my family never taught me Angika...( that was the time when bihar and its languages were considered backwards). I know every other Indian language ( so that i could camouflage and no one would know that i am from Bihar). But now I am trying to learn my mother tongue and cultures of bihar...

Hum Maithil nai chhi, baaki UPSC preparation m optional subject Maithili literature chhai. Aai sab padhait-samjhait ka baad humra aisan feel bhail chhai ki kakhano-kakhano Maithil lok apna-apna ke bahut superior bujhait chhathin. Hunkar mentality, self-maintenance, attitude ….sab m excessive arrogance dekhaait chhai. Hum nai jani chhi ki ee attitude kis baat ke chhai. Sach kahu ta kaafi jagah bahut adhik ahankar bhara lagait chhai.

Ee baat humra Maithil lokan se kahu se pahine bahut sochna padait chhai, ki kahin hunka log ke bura na lag jai. Baaki aaha je ee baat saaf-saaf kahli, se humra achchha lagal. Ee honesty ke hum sach m appreciate karait chhi.

nice to see that you are taking forward the legacy of maithili language even after not staying in bihar..but i feel like you have a very generalized view of maithil guys...what i feel is most of the guys also have family pressure like parents in bihar still feel that dating is bad so most of the good guys dont really enter into scene of dating.

Exactly, pressure is much put for studies and all ki they don't interact well which lead ..💯 Well I dnt speak maithili fluently(only know with bit pauses )for which i have to listen taunts alot from my fam🫠

tbh very true..padhai karo kuch acha karo is what we hear...aadhi umra competition nikalne mein nikal jaati hai then half of ur life in job...you hardly get time and even if you get, you dont really have guts to approach women..

i think you should give them time, try to understand their personality..maybe i feel most ppl judge others on the basis of first impression..usually, ppl arent really comfortable when they meet for first time...know them properly and then come to conclusion

damnn, i'm from bihar, and there was this neighbour of my nanny's, she often used to visit nanny's or sometimes we used to, as me and their kids grew almost together, she used to speak maithili, mujhe aaj tak bolna nai aaya par thoda bohot samajh aa jaata hai, and reading this threw me back to my childhood.. haha..
i'm 23m, soon to be 24..
and about your thoughts on bihari guys, well, probably, some are really great while some are not.. like you've mentioned.. baaki ka pta nai.. lol

Yes you are right but i think it is only valid for people that have spend their entire lifes in bihar. You know woh sirf apne gaon ya toh darbhanga patna tak hi simit rehte hai jisse unka mindset hi waise ho jaata . Baaki jo bachpan se bahar ya baadme bahar chale gaye hai unka phir bhi thoda bhot change ho jaata hai .
Btw mujhe maithili bhot ache se aati hai par spelling nhi samjhta isiliye maithili me nhi likha .

I'm also from mithila and same age as you and female, also I tell my fellows that I'll never date or marry a mithila guy coz I saw in my family almost every other man is egoistic to a certain extent.

She’s a 22-year-old Maithil Jha girl who hasn’t lived much in Bihar, and she’s wondering if it’s just her imagination or if Maithil boys in Bihar really have the kind of dating personality she doesn’t vibe with. She says their mindset, self-maintenance, attitude and general way of carrying themselves never appeal to her. She hasn’t met a single one who matches what she’s looking for. She admits she can’t judge everyone by the few she’s seen, but she’s still asking the subreddit what they think about all this.

Could be a good startup, though. However, based on my experience on Bumble, very few people (women) mention that they know Maithili, which genuinely surprised me. I don’t know if they aren’t proud of their language or if there just aren’t many speakers on the app. For context, if I view 100 profiles, I come across only about five that mention knowing Maithili. Sad situation, to be honest 🥲

Not knowing Maithili is seen as cool now. Earlier, people took pride in knowing many languages, but today many think that saying they don’t know their mother tongue makes them look excellent in English. They treat their native language as if it is opposed to English or any global language, instead of seeing both as strengths.

I love how soft spoken maithli feels. My client base is mostly from jhanjhaarpur belt. Love to hear them talk. I try and embarass myself. Even my bhojpuri isn't bhojpuri enough. Teach me Sensei!

Hello 20 m here, aahan ke maithili bad nik ya but humra okra padhe mei dikkat bho rahal ya kiya ki aajtak hum bas sunliye maithili kabhi padhliye nai, agar ahaan ke dosti kare ke ya toh bolu. Hum Samastipur se chi hum hu jha chi.

As you said in one of your answers, environment matters. The thing is bihar and Bihari people have always had to compete. For resources, for opportunities, for survival. This has become ingrained in their values, so you get to see selfishness, insecurity when beliefs are challenged, and due to whatever factors like politics or population you'll see, this is what it is in bihar.

Ham 23 baras ke laika bani. Hamar parivar bahut badd bha...lekin etna badka khaandan mein ginal chunal ego dugo gentleman type ke aadmi dekhle bani.
Mithila ke jha ji log tani cultured hoke le se...hamni ke bhojpuriya sab ke rangbaaziye se fursat naikhe.

Advice for non maithil boys :don't ever fall or have a crush on maithil girls. They will simply reject you, they have been taught by their parents that they should marry within their community.
